Macleya cordata, otherwise known as "Plume Poppy"
Soon to find a home in a stock tank in my driveway :-)

  5. Thanks everyone...it does look a little fig-like, doesn't it! I am all about the stock tank...I really love how they look in a garden. I've seen a lot of people talking about it's desire to spread rampantly...and in a big garden, I'd probably put it somewhere I wanted that...but in my dinky space...it needs a little corralling :-)

  6. My friend who has the knotweed also gave me a start of this that I planted, then read up on, and chickened out and pulled. I just don't have room for big plants that spread. It does have nice looking foliage.

  7. You are wise to be cautious, Sue...I was worried about the same thing, which is why I decided to plant it in the container instead of directly in the garden. I'm like you, space is at such a premium, I don't want a thug taking over :-)
