Mine NEVER looked as good as that! I'll be back for more of your luscious photography. It's a constant challenge for me...trying to capture the beauty I see.
I grow that, too. I didn't realize that what I got from a friend was not the macedonica. I have a clump of each across each other with a sidewalk between them. The macedonica is shorter and less wild looking than the other kind.
How close do you live to the ocean? Do you ever go there? If I did move somewhere, I'd like to be an hour or two from a beach.
Ricki...It's a tricky one to photgraph...it never quite seem accurate!
Sue...They are tricky little devils...I have one that stays about 15" tall...another than gets almost 4' tall...the shorter one is a bit more manageable. I really want to find some of 'Melton's Pastels'...supposed to be a mix of pinks, reds whites and purples! We are in Portland, which is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours from the ocean...and it's a lovely drive through farmland and forested mountains (the Coast Range). We don't go as often as I'd like...a couple times a year...but it is really, really beautiful...I'll have to post some pics here someday of one of our trips...below is my flickr link if you'd like to look...I have a few sets with pics from the Oregon Coast. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24516237@N00/
